Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists in designing and executing Halo Investing’s legal strategy, taking into account our business strategy, legal, regulatory and supervisory requirements.
  • Exemplifies Halo’s, core values, culture, and desired behaviors – including a culture of risk awareness and accountability.
  • Negotiates a range of agreements, including software licensing agreements, non-disclosure agreements and employment agreements.
  • Supports Halo’s corporate governance activities, including advising on and drafting policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identifies and manages existing and emerging legal risks that stem from business activities related to products and services, in alignment with Halo Investing’s risk appetite.
  • Provides legal advice and counsel on all aspects of Halo’s business as well as Enterprise actions, strategies, and initiatives.
  • Ensures timely, accurate and cost-effective legal advice is provided to senior management regarding legal and regulatory matters.
  • Provides regulatory support through partnership and collaboration with key clients and stakeholders, including legal, compliance, risk, and business partners, for the purpose of influencing decisions and managing legal risks to achieve strategic goals.
  • Proactively monitors and analyzes developments in both internal and external environments and recommends appropriate legal or regulatory strategies.



Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • In-house experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience providing advice to financial institutions preferred.
